ARCA Resourcing is working with a growing engineering business developing advanced technologies in the clean mobility sector. We’re looking for a CNC Engineer to join their in-house prototyping team, supporting the manufacture of high-precision components for early-stage development projects.
This is a hands-on role within a busy machine shop, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to innovation through high-quality prototyping and close collaboration with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set and operate 3 & 4 axis CNC machinery (Conversational and G Code)
* Manufacture components from 2D drawings and 3D models to tight tolerances
* Perform first article inspection and ensure quality standards are met
* Advise engineers on design feasibility for in-house machining
* Operate VMC and mill-turn equipment, along with other workshop tools
* Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure safe workshop practices
* Drive process improvement using 5S and lean principles
Requirements:
* HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a relevant field
* Strong CNC machining background, ideally within a prototyping or R&D environment
* Proficient with CAD/CAM and familiar with first article inspection processes
* Detail-oriented, organised, and confident working to tight deadlines
* Able to interpret complex engineering drawings and models
