We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Accounts department based in Southport. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands-on approach is required.
What we are looking for:
* An experienced Accountant with proven skills of 2 years in a similar capacity
* Either CPA/CA, Accounting Degree (highly desirable) or studying towards an accounting degree
* Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable
* An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
* Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader business
* Strong attention to detail and high analytical skills
* Advanced Excel skills
What the role briefly entails:
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance to accounting standards
* Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements
* Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
* Cash flow management
* Internal controls
* Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
* Manufacturer reporting
* Annual budgeting and forecasting
* Senior leader to accounts department
* Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller
* Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments
