FM Assistant (Cleaning) Saffron Walden Community Hospital
Band 2 – £12.92 per hour (£25,272 per annum pro rata)
13 hours per week – Thursday 15:00‑18:00, Saturday and Sunday 8:00‑13:00
This post includes Unsocial Hours Payments:
Saturday – Time plus 41% of the salary
Sunday – Time plus 83% of the salary
Job Summary
The role involves providing in‑house FM services within a specified area of the Trust, which may include in‑patient areas and retail outlets. Services comprise cleaning, catering, portering, bed making and laundering. Not all services will apply to every shift; the relevant duties will be identified for each posting.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain patient care and retail areas to an excellent standard.
* Assist with catering, portering, bed making and laundering as required.
* Work closely with patients and staff, sometimes interacting directly with patients while carrying out duties.
* Approach duties flexibly as part of the Facilities Team.
