Role Overview
To provide clear concise quotations to clients, from engineer or client provided information that justifies the work and provides clear narrative that they act on and place orders for the works required.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for passive fire protection actions and projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
* Prepare and submit tender documents and pricing schedules within deadlines.
* Attain an understanding of the requirements of the actions/project at hand.
* Co-ordinate and schedule Surveys.
* Assist Contract Manager in identifying high/low opportunities on existing projects.
* Maintain detailed records of estimates, tender submissions, and related correspondence.
* Generate regular reports on estimating activities and project outcomes for management review.
* Ensure all estimates comply with relevant fire safety regulations, such as BS 476, BS EN 1366, and Approved Document B.
* Stay updated on changes in fire safety standards and construction regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the market.
* Commercial awareness of all stages of the relevant engineering process, including estimating, buying schedules, valuation preparation, contract administration, Final Accounts
* Legal Knowledge
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Hold a professional qualification in a relevant field
* Full clean driving license
