You will be a key figure in supporting pupils with a range of complex needs:including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and SEMH:to help them thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide Dedicated Support: Work closely with a specific class or individual pupils to provide the stability they need to succeed.

Implement EHCPs: Work directly with Education, Health, and Care Plans to deliver tailored learning and development targets.
*
Behavioural Support: Use consistent strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive emotional regulation.
*
Social and Life Skills: Support pupils communication and independence, helping them navigate social interactions and daily routines.
*
Collaborate: Work as a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists.
*
Personal Care: Assist with personal care where required, ensuring the dignity and well:being of the pupils.

Experienced: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD) is essential.
