Job Title: Finance Manager
SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic charity based in Coventry. They are looking to onboard an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will support the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources as part of the small but experienced corporate resources team. The role will entail working with the wider team on financial accounts and all aspects of contractual and regulatory compliance.
Key Tasks:
1. Internal Business Partner: Act as an effective internal business partner to all colleagues across the charity, providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to support financial planning and performance of all services and functions.
2. Month-End Processes: Lead month-end processes including reviewing and posting journals, managing purchase and sales ledgers, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure timely delivery of month-end reports.
3. Management Accounts: Collaborate with the team to produce the monthly management accounts pack, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and other management reports with financial analysis and comments as required.
4. Budgeting and Reforecasting: Work with budget holders on the cycle of budgeting and reforecasting, including setting up templates, working to deadlines, and finalizing for senior management.
5. Financial Operations: Support day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, gift aid, charity VAT, memberships, donations, and other income and expenditure.
6. External Relationships: Assist in managing relationships with auditors, banks, pension providers, payroll partners, and insurers.
7. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders regarding invoice issuance, payment processing, and query resolution.
