Senior Architect
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £45-55,000 (depending on experience)
We are representing a well-established and respected architectural practice in Portsmouth that is looking to appoint a talented Senior Architect to join its growing team. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable, and client-focused design solutions, the practice works across a broad portfolio that includes commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use projects.

Key Requirements:
ARB-registered Architect with proven post-qualification experience in UK practice
Excellent design and technical skills, with strong proficiency in Revit (essential)
In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, planning legislation, and RIBA work stages
Experience leading projects through all stages, ideally within education, commercial, or healthcare sectors
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
Track record of successfully managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines
Full, clean driving licence
Based in or within commuting distance of Portsmouth
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring design excellence and technical accuracy
Provide leadership within the design team, supporting and mentoring colleagues where required
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
Deliver high-quality design solutions with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, planning policy, and best practice guidance
Contribute to the strategic development of the practice and play an active role in business growth
