Do you have a passion for science and a desire to inspire?
At Co-op Academy Swinton, we are seeking a dynamic Teacher of Science with a TLR to engage and challenge young minds.
Join our talented and dedicated team as a Teacher of Science with a TLR to help work with the Head of Science for staff development and curriculum. With a passion for teaching and an intrigue for all things scientific, you will inspire our students and help them achieve the best possible outcomes. Our aim is to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background. We are looking for a teacher who shares our vision for an ambitious, supportive, and nurturing learning environment and curriculum.
At Co-op Academy Swinton, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional educational experience and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for our staff. Our academy offers a welcoming, inclusive environment where students and staff are inspired to achieve their best. You will work with passionate colleagues dedicated to challenging and supporting students, guiding them through their educational journey and preparing them for the future.
Why us?
Our academy caters to pupils aged 11-16. We are easily accessible from all areas of the North West, with Swinton train station less than a 5-minute walk. We have a dedicated team of staff who build positive relationships and foster a caring culture, as highlighted in our recent Ofsted inspection (June 2024), where we were graded ‘Good’ in all areas.
Our values are based on the Co-op Group's principles, which guide our behaviours:
* Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon-fed; we try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
* Self-responsibility: Everyone should act responsibly on the academy site and in the community. We take responsibility for our own learning and aim to be independent learners.
* Equality: We celebrate our multicultural environment and treat each other with respect, ensuring equal opportunities for success.
* Equity: We seek to recognize and reward each other's strengths fairly to encourage achievement.
* Democracy: Everyone contributes ideas to make the academy a success.
* Solidarity: We achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.
Our Values
As part of the Co-operative Group, we are guided by ethical values embedded in our 'Ways of Being':

* Be yourself, always
* Show you care
If you share our values, we would love to hear from you!
