Primary Teacher Role in Gateshead
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Teacher to work in a fantastic primary school in Gateshead. The position is full-time and long-term, starting in September 2024. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome, with opportunities to complete part of the ECT qualification during the role.
The role involves planning and delivering lessons to full classes, supported by Teaching Assistants. Key responsibilities include differentiating lessons to meet individual needs, working collaboratively with staff to promote progress, and building positive relationships with pupils and staff to manage behaviour proactively and positively.

Responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils and promote progress.
2. Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to foster excellent learning environments.
3. Managing challenging behaviour proactively and consistently.
4. Differentiating lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
5. Utilising various assessment methods to monitor pupil progress.
6. Demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with children.
7. Collaborating effectively with Teaching Assistants to enhance educational experiences.
Requirements:
1. An Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service, but we can assist in processing a new one).
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and primary teaching experience.
3. Experience in short, medium, and long-term planning.
4. Experience in using diverse assessment methods.
5. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
6. Excellent relationship-building skills and rapport development.
7. A positive, resilient attitude towards teaching and work.
8. Experience teaching within the UK.
9. A genuine passion for teaching.
10. Strong organisational and communication skills.
11. A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
