We are seeking a Planning Manager for OpenDoor at WPP Media. This is a full-time role based in London. The Role reports to the Planning Director and will manage a team of 2+ people. The role supports WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best-in-class service for Amazon across its diverse businesses.

Role Summary and Impact
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Planning Manager to join the OpenDoor team. The role is based in London and will focus on planning activities supporting Amazon under multiple OpenDoor initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Media planning: Develop an in-depth understanding of media channels including where, when and how to use them based on the client brief; maintain skilled knowledge of industry planning tools; train team members; apply industry best practices and planning theory; develop knowledge of OpenDoor Purchase Journey thinking and Provocative Planning Philosophy; design and distribute multi-market communications strategies.
* Campaign Management: Own campaign activity from briefing teams through to delivering client-ready outputs; collaborate with planning and activation teams to run the day-to-day account efficiently; bring in specialist teams as needed; ensure timely and excellent financial management processes.
* Effective Communication: Serve as the main day-to-day client contact; mentor Planning Executives; develop proactive problem-solving and escalate issues to the Planning Director when needed.
Qualifications
* Develops breadth and depth of industry understanding; able to train others on tools, technology, techniques, and systems.
* Comfortable presenting directly from platforms and developing narratives from data, including external sources.
* Can confidently answer client questions and liaise with internal teams on best solutions.
* Delivers accurate reports with value-added insights to improve campaign performance.
* Responsible for ongoing management of campaign budgets, including finance reconciliations.
* Entertainment category experience; multi-market experience.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining partnership focus.
Bonus Points
* Teaches others the importance of accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
* Familiarity with Amazon’s ways of working (narratives over PowerPoint) and leadership principles; familiarity with Amazon Ads and ecosystem.
