Description
A leading company in the engineering and power generation industry is seeking a motivated Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement team on a temporary basis. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to global procurement processes while supporting the team through a transitional period.
You will be responsible for purchase order (PO) management, supplier coordination, and system updates to ensure seamless procurement operations. Full system training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Place and follow up on purchase orders (POs) for assigned commodities.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely execution of POs.
Resolve problems and manage schedule changes to support business continuity.
Update ERP systems to maintain accurate planning and reporting.
Identify and signal process flaws or inefficiencies, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to support data gathering and analysis.
Close down completed system orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
Requirements
Essential:
Bachelors degree (or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of sourcing/procurement experience).
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and comfortable with routine processes.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
Previous experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles.
Exposure to ERP systems (training will be provided if not).
Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or energy-related industries.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across geographies.
