Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability, and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly remote work, onsite once every few months) on a 12-month contract.
The Role
You will join the 'Major Infrastructure Projects' (MIP) Business Unit, assisting and supporting the Design Management Team to provide the framework and governance for the engineering team to deliver the project scope. As a Technical Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Undertaking a range of technical administration activities, including desktop investigations and field visits to gather information to respond to specific issues.
2. Monitoring engineering processes and identifying areas where improvements can be made.
3. Assembling and publishing routine and ad hoc reports to management, including analysis of performance with commentary.
4. Analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating relevant functional information, concepts, and ideas, and using these to develop solutions to problems.
