We are delighted to introduce you to our Secondary School that is at the heart of the local community. At our School, we aim to provide a caring yet challenging curriculum and environment in which the talents of each student are nurtured and enabled to flourish. We have a relentless drive to enable students to achieve their full potential.
We are an oversubscribed, popular community school. Following our Ofsted inspection in July 2023, we were judged to be a ‘Good’ school. The report states that ‘One pupil expressed the views of many, saying, ‘Our School is unique, we are one community.’ Another pupil said: ‘Everyone looks out and cares for one another.’ We have been awarded a state-of-the-art rebuild, designed with cutting-edge technology, with work beginning in autumn 2023. This, along with our increased student numbers, means we are recruiting to expand our core teams in English, Maths, and Science.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate teacher of English to join our expanding, highly established, and successful department. The ideal candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to develop their own practice. They should be able to reflect and have a personal drive to improve and develop.
What we can offer you
* Bespoke CPD with high-quality mentoring
* An additional 5% of PPA time on top of the recommended allowance
* A supportive and nurturing environment
* A reduced meeting cycle that allows staff to concentrate on teaching
* Whole-class and self-marking to support staff well-being
* Staff well-being lead
Please note that, as a school, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time. All applicants must have Qualified Teacher Status awarded by the British Department of Education and a Secondary subject qualification.
We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. If appointed, you will have a safeguarding responsibility. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service, and employment will be contingent upon references. This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
