Teaching Assistant – Wigan

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wigan is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning and development within a supportive and welcoming school community.
Role Overview:
* Work with individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
* Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and participation in class activities.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child can thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
* A positive, caring, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for education.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
