Ten10Talent have partnered with an outstanding Nursery School in Barnet. They are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teacher to start ASAP.
The successful applicant must hold either a BA or EYTS qualification.
The above salaries do not include the Christmas and annual bonuses.
We are an outstanding nursery school and have received many awards for the quality of our teaching, including the BBC Pearson Early Years Teaching award and have achieved many accreditations that reflect the quality of our standards.
We are looking for an enthusiastic early years practitioner who wants to learn about different pedagogical approaches. We invest in the professional development of staff and have supported staff to gain their EYTS or Forest School qualifications.
Our staff receive benefits like private health insurance, Christmas and annual performance bonus as well as many other benefits. The candidate will have the opportunity to have support from a very experienced teacher who has taught nursery and reception. Small class size. Term-time only role.
Hours and benefits
The actual working hours are 8.30 am – 4.30 pm (for 4 days a week) with one late club until 5.30 pm. Everyone is paid through 5.30 pm including 3 hours of non-contact time.
Salary: £28,000.00 – £32,000.00 per year.

Essential requirements of the post
1. Experience and qualifications:
The post holder must hold Early Years Professional Status or Qualified Teacher Status. For applicants with QTS, this should be specific to the foundation stage age group. Where this is not the case, the applicant should be able to demonstrate training and recent extensive experience working with children in early years.
* Experience of working with children 2–5 years old
* Experience of supporting staff in delivering high-quality early education
* Experience of working with families, identifying support and working in partnership to develop children’s learning and development
* Experience of working in partnership with other agencies and organisations when identifying and meeting the needs of children and families and in response to safeguarding concerns
2. Knowledge and Understanding
* A thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and relevant current legislation
* A good understanding of the developmental needs of young children, particularly 2 to 5-year-olds
* A good understanding of what constitutes a quality early education environment
* Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
* A good understanding of making accurate assessments of children’s learning and development and devising appropriate next steps to their learning
* A commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory working practice with children, families, colleagues and the community
Skills and abilities
* Ability to design and develop early education environments and programmes building on the children’s interests and the benefits of natural play
* Ability to maintain the health, safety and security of others
* Flexibility, initiative and the ability to vary and change the curriculum according to children’s needs
* Good observational skills and the experience to support staff in knowing when and how best to intervene to support children’s play, learning, development and social interactions
* Ability to communicate with people in a form and manner that is consistent with their level of understanding, culture, background and preferred ways of communicating
* Excellent active listening skills
