Purpose of Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Handy Person to join our in-house maintenance team in Fareham.
Job Description
This position is dedicated to our Facilities Management contract with the Office for National Statistic covering offices and a warehouse storage facility. You would be responsible for undertaking reactive and PPM maintenance across carpentry, fabric, plumbing and building maintenance.
Responsibilities
Tasks could include changing locks, fabric repairs, door/ceiling/carpet repairs, leak detection/repair, unblocking toilets/sinks, water temperature checks, replacement water boilers, flushing, servicing and/or replacement of thermostatic mixer valves, water sampling and much more. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to delivery high-quality reactive repairs across multiple disciplines.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
o Proven maintenance background in commercial environments
o Qualified in relevant trades (, Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent)
o Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
o Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
o An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
o Competent in the use of tablet or computers and data handling including PDA & Microsoft Office
