As a Technical Project Manager in our Digital Services team you will play a key role in shaping the future of public service delivery – leading projects that deliver innovative, reliable and secure digital solutions.
About the Role
You’ll manage small to medium‑scale technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders you will oversee planning, risk management, and delivery while ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery.
* Managing project plans, budgets, risks, and resources effectively.
* Coordinating with technical specialists to ensure solutions meet business and security requirements.
* Engaging stakeholders across the organisation to maintain clear communication and alignment.
* Driving continuous improvement and promoting best practice in project delivery.
Who You’ll Work With
* Technical Project Management team and wider Digital Services team.
* Developers, infrastructure teams, business analysts and external suppliers.
* Departmental managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in managing technical projects, ideally within a digital or public sector environment.
* Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
* Familiarity with technical concepts and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and passion for digital transformation.
* Confidence in managing competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
Additional Information
Hybrid role – expectation to work from County Council offices in Matlock as required.
