Main duties of the job
The main duties include providing professional advice regarding:
* Fire Code
* Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
* Building Regulations
* All other relevant legislation within the Trust and for other client bodies
The Fire Safety Advisor supports the Head of Fire Safety in maintaining adequate fire safety across the Trust's estate.
They ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), NHS Estates Firecode Policy and Principles, and related guidance.
The role involves working closely with Estates Management, Capital Projects, care groups, and departmental managers in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure a fire-safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, thereby supporting improved patient care and wellbeing.

Person Specification
Education & Qualification
* Degree or equivalent experience in fire safety
* Specialist Fire Safety Courses (e.g., Fire Service College)
* NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management
* IOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety
* Knowledge of Firecode and Building Regulations Approved Document B
Experience
* Extensive Fire Safety experience
* Training development and delivery experience, with thorough knowledge of Fire Safety Legislation, Codes of Practice, Fire Risk Assessment process, and training techniques
