Main duties of the job
The main duties include providing professional advice regarding:
* Fire Code
* Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005
* Building Regulations
* Other relevant legislation within the Trust and for other client bodies
The Fire Safety Advisor supports the Head of Fire Safety in ensuring adequate fire safety across the Trust's estate and compliance with relevant legislation and standards, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), NHS Estates Firecode Policy and Principles, and associated management and design guidance.
The role involves working closely with Estates Management, Capital Projects Team, care groups, and departmental managers in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure a fire-safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, thereby facilitating improved patient care and wellbeing.

* Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any weekday after 8pm and before 6am

Person Specification
Education & Qualification
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in fire safety
* Specialist Fire Safety Courses (e.g., Fire Service College or equivalent)
* NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management
* IOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety
* Knowledge of and experience with current Firecode and Building Regulations Approved Document B
Experience
* Extensive fire safety experience
* Experience in training development and delivery, with thorough knowledge of fire safety legislation, codes of practice, fire risk assessment processes, and training techniques
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
