Senior Healthcare Support Worker
Work with a multi‑professional team to ensure a high standard of care and support is given to a defined patient group within the Inpatients 2 department.
Candidate Requirements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Educated to SVQ level 3 or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience, on‑the‑job training and short courses. Venepuncture training will be supported – advantageous but not essential.
Location and Working Pattern
The post is based at The Balfour. Working part time, 19 hours per week. Fixed‑term for 12 months.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is Band 3. Residents on Orkney receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum. NHS Scotland salaries are higher than those in England.
