A leading insights provider to the FMCG space is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join its high-performing commercial team.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands how insight, data, and strategy can fuel growth. The primary focus will be new business acquisition, but you will also play a key role in developing and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business
* Identify, target, and secure new clients within the FMCG and retail space
* Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding
* Build and maintain a robust pipeline, with clear forecasting and CRM management
* Use insight-led consultative selling to tailor solutions to each client’s strategic goals
Account Growth & Customer Success
* Work closely with existing clients to understand evolving needs and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities
* Ensure client satisfaction, renewals, and consistent usage of services and insights
* Act as a strategic advisor, helping clients unlock maximum value from their subscriptions or bespoke projects
* Collaborate with research and product teams to feed in client feedback and shape future offerings
Who We’re Looking For:
* Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within data, market research, insights, or consultancy
* Experience selling into or working with FMCG, retail, food & drink, or out-of-home sectors
* Strong hunter mentality with the ability to uncover pain points and position relevant solutions
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Commercially curious and motivated by performance and results
* CRM-savvy (e.g. Salesforce) with a structured, proactive approach to sales management
* Experience in managing or growing client accounts is a plus
