3D Modelling Engineer We are seeking a skilled 3D Modelling Engineer to support our Engineering team, with responsibility for delivering high-quality earthworks modelling and design data management. Based at our site hub near Balsall Common, this office-based role is vital to ensuring precision in machine control modelling, survey processing, and seamless integration between the design and construction teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Liaise with the client and relevant stakeholders to acquire and interpret design information and updates
Prepare and clean design data received from BBV for use in Trimble modelling software
Create accurate 3D terrain models for use in machine control systems and by site engineers
Distribute latest design data efficiently, ensuring version control is maintained across the team
Review design changes and update models accordingly to maintain data integrity and alignment with current specifications
Draft construction drawings for site teams and client submission
Process as-built and topographical site surveys and prepare output files for client reporting
Support the QA process and ITP sign-off documentation for survey and design-related workstreams
Manage roller compaction data and generate BOMAP pass reports for internal and client review
Requirements:
Proven experience in 3D modelling and/or CAD, ideally within a construction or infrastructure environment
Proficiency in Trimble Business Center (TBC) or equivalent digital modelling software
Familiarity with machine control workflows and data management for GPS-enabled plant
Strong communication and coordination skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration
High attention to detail, particularly in digital modelling and survey processing
Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, project-driven environment
License/Certification:
Clean Full Driving License
CSCS Card (desirable)
