Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a senior, hands-on engineer with experience in applications, field, or implementation engineering. We need strong troubleshooting instincts gained during live trials, commissioning, or production ramp-ups. We require experience implementing solutions that combine physical hardware with software workflows, such as mobile SDKs and cloud APIs. We value prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment, with practical judgment in ambiguity and a track record of improving delivery processes. We need exceptional communication skills and confidence engaging with engineering, operations, and IT stakeholders. Comfort using AI tools for speed and process execution is highly valued. We require the ability to work from our Lancaster office 3 to 4 days a week during active programmes. We require a willingness to travel regularly to UK and international customer sites. Experience with machine vision systems, production or print lines, or quality control systems is desirable. Experience within the security printing, anti-counterfeit, or brand protection industries is desirable. Responsibilities: We partner with the commercial team as the senior technical voice, setting realistic expectations around risks, dependencies, and timelines. We lead customer trials from inception to completion and integrate our technology into client systems and operational workflows. We spend time on-site during live production tests, diagnosing and resolving issues across hardware, software, and manufacturing points. We build repeatable tools, processes, and playbooks so multiple customer implementations can run in parallel. We train customer teams to ensure they are production-ready. We feed field-tested insights back into our internal Platform and Materials teams. We work at the boundary of the physical and digital worlds to solve unprecedented problems. We leverage automation and AI to create scalable, repeatable implementation methods.
