Job overview

The Trust's aim is always to put patients at the heart of everything we do and is guided by the principles and Trust values developed by our staff. In line with this vision, the Estates Directorate is seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant who exemplifies these values to join our team.

You will support and administer the Salto access control system cards, a new system being implemented in the Trust.

You will work independently to provide administrative support to the Estates team, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from ‘end-users’ of the Estates services via the Helpdesk.

You will also help ensure an efficient Reception/’Front of House’ service for the Estates Department, including implementing ‘Contractor Control’ procedures and issuing Staff ID badges and access control cards.

The successful applicant will have a positive can-do attitude, demonstrate flexibility and initiative when handling a wide range of administrative duties, and have experience with filing systems.

Applicants should possess strong keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.


Main duties of the job

You will support and administer the Salto access control system cards and provide administrative support to the Estates team, including typing, word processing, and the distribution and filing of documents. You will also act as the first point of contact for enquiries from ‘end-users’ of the Estates services via the Helpdesk and related software.
