The Program Coordinator at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) will play an essential role in supporting and coordinating the execution of ISGAP’s programming initiatives. This role involves detailed planning, organization, and management of logistics for events, conferences, seminars, and workshops. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Academic Affairs to ensure the seamless execution of ISGAP activities and will contribute to the continuous enhancement of ISGAP’s programs.


The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple

responsibilities and collaborate across various teams to achieve ISGAP’s mission. It is a full-time position based in Cambridge, with remote support to be provided for some of the international activities, such as online learning, of ISGAP.


About ISGAP:

The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), established in 2003, is the

preeminent international research center for the study of critical contemporary antisemitism. The mission of ISGAP is to develop and legitimize critical contemporary antisemitism studies within the academia, so as to develop curriculum, education, public discourse, and policy in regard to the study of contemporary antisemitism.


Historically, antisemitism has often found fertile ground within academia, where it is currently growing

exponentially. As higher education is a vital institution in society shaping public discourse and policy, ISGAP, through high caliber research, maps and decodes processes of contemporary global antisemitism, including the demonization of Jewish peoplehood and Israel.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Program Coordination:

* Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of ISGAP’s academic programming, including conferences, workshops, and events.
* Coordinate event schedules, communicate with participants, and manage program timelines to ensure successful delivery.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries from participants, speakers, and other stakeholders.


2. Event Logistics:

* Assist in the planning and overseeing of logistics for both in-person and virtual events, including venue selection, catering, accommodation, and equipment management.
* Manage virtual event platforms and technical coordination, ensuring a smooth participant experience.
* Collaborate with ISGAP’s senior leaders and Programming leads to ensure that all logistical elements are executed efficiently and within budget.


3. Communication and Participant Management:

* Manage communication with event participants, speakers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all relevant information is provided in a timely and clear manner.
* Handle participant registration, accommodation, and travel arrangements, addressing any concerns or questions as needed.


4. Vendor Management:

* Identify, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and resources for events.
* Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and monitor contract performance.


5. Operational Support:

* Provide operational support to ensure smooth execution of ISGAP’s programming, including resource allocation, technical support, and coordination with external parties.
* Assist with the preparation of program materials and ensure their availability for events.
* Contribute to post-event evaluations and reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.


6. Administrative Assistance:

* Maintain accurate records of logistical arrangements, program budgets, and participant information.
* Support the Director of Programming and Operations in administrative tasks related to programming, including document preparation, report generation, and file management.


Key Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, event planning, or logistics management.
* Understanding of antisemitism or experience working with issues related to antisemitism is a strong plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with virtual event platforms.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with academic programming or nonprofit environments is a plus.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Willingness to work outside regular office hours when necessary to support program needs.
