BAM UK&I is seeking a Construction Site IT Mobilisation Lead to be based in the Midlands, working from our Solihull office on a hybrid basis.
Your mission
The CSIT Lead will support the UK CSIT manager in delivering solution excellence across all site projects and offices for mainland UK operational companies. Responsibilities include advising and delivering Construction Site IT solutions from initial opportunities through to exit proposals and commercial reviews.
* Implement and recommend global Construction Site IT components within the solutions catalogue.
* Support the Construction Site IT Manager in establishing a unified solution architecture for all Construction Site IT, assisting with migration to standardized solutions across the Operating Company, working closely with the IT infrastructure and Digital Construction workspace teams.
* Provide accurate IT estimates for tenders and project planning.
* Ensure supported, consistent solutions across all regions, aligning digital business needs with ICT strategy and construction site requirements.
* Manage the IT mobilisation of sites within the country, supporting the full construction site lifecycle, including demobilisation.
* Build relationships with stakeholders such as tender desk personnel, estimators, IT suppliers, and construction sites.
* Engage with project leads for all awarded projects and support change management initiatives.
* Escalate issues to the UK CSIT manager as needed and support their role.
* Collaborate remotely with the Scottish Lead to support sites in Scotland and Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK mainland.
Key activities
* Develop relationships with construction site staff and stakeholders.
* Visit sites to advise on continuous improvement and review current IT environments.
* Report on improvements, risks, and opportunities to the Construction Site IT Manager.
* Develop global end-to-end processes collaboratively with the IT Manager.
* Proactively engage in CSIT consultancy to enhance employee and user experiences on sites, including automation and innovative solutions.
* Understand and enable delivery of forward-thinking technology strategies, ensuring synergy between construction sites, digital teams, and innovation initiatives.
* Partner with peers for effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Monitor IT and digital expenditure to stay within budgets.
* Interpret IT requirements within RFOs, develop solutions, and communicate proposals effectively to project teams and bid managers.
Who are we looking for?
* HNC/HND in IT or equivalent qualification.
* 2-3 years of experience in IT or Business IT.
* ITIL qualification or experience.
* Business information experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
* Experience assisting with project estimates or tenders is advantageous.
* Willingness to travel approximately 40-50% of the time.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies and site automation setup is desirable.
* Strong understanding of ICT components such as connectivity, infrastructure, solutions, and IT technologies.
