Hays Education is recruiting an experienced Business Studies Teacher (QTS) to work across a range of secondary schools and Sixth Forms in Bristol. We are seeking confident subject specialists who can deliver engaging Business Studies lessons at GCSE and A‑Level, with both short‑term and long‑term opportunities available.We regularly support schools with:
1. Long‑term Business Studies cover
2. Maternity contracts
3. Vacancies for Easter and September starts
4. Short‑term or interim Business Studies teaching roles

What you'll be doing
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will:
5. Teach GCSE and A‑Level Business Studies
6. Deliver high‑quality lessons that buildmercial awareness and analytical skills
7. Support students with coursework, exam preparation and extended writing
8. Maintain excellent behaviour management and a purposeful classroom environment
9. Follow departmental schemes of work and assessment frameworks
10. Adapt confidently to new school settings and learner groups
Long‑term placements may also include planning, marking and contributing to department initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
12. Specialist subject knowledge in Business Studies
13. Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level in a UK secondary school or Sixth Form
14. Strong behaviour management and confident classroom presence
15. The right to work in the UK
16. An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
17. A proactive, professional and flexible attitude
18. ECTs with Business Studies specialism are wee to apply
