Job Overview
The Cardiology department at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is currently seeking to recruit a keen member of staff to join the busy team of Cardiographers. This position will be based in Royal Gwent Hospital with the expectation to cover all ABUHB sites as and when required.
Main duties of the job
This will be a split role which will also entail some support within the clerical team, providing clinic cover.
The role involves the accurate recording of an Electrocardiogram (ECG) and also the general care and maintenance of the equipment used. It also requires the applicant be professional, use their initiative and be able to work well under pressure. Reliability, a patient caring nature, together with a responsible and flexible approach to work are essential. To undertake any other duties consistent with the overall grade of the post
An ECG is a very important diagnostic test requiring meticulous placement of electrodes to provide good quality ECG recordings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
