Service Manager – Learning Disabilities | Rochdale | Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 38.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with on-call duties and some out-of-hours work)

We are seeking a Service Manager to join our team in Rochdale to help lead and develop our services, ensuring compliance with care standards and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily operations in the absence of the Registered/Deputy Care Manager.
* Support with Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration and inspection processes.
* Manage and support the care team through regular supervisions, appraisals, and training.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and create person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
* Develop rotas that reflect the needs of service users and staff availability.
* Ensure timely reassessments and plan modifications in line with individual needs.
* Assist with recruitment, inductions, team meetings and ongoing team development.
* Promote safeguarding and uphold health & safety standards.
* Build strong relationships with families, carers, funders and external agencies.
* Monitor quality of care and strive for continuous improvement in service delivery.
* Attend external events and build local partnerships to grow and enhance the service.
Essential

* Proven experience in a similar management role in the care sector.
* Background working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* A clear understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding and risk management.
Desirable
* Experience in service development and partnership working.
* Familiarity with CQC standards and inspections.
