Overview
CDM Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Machinist to join a well-established engineering manufacturer supplying components to the Aerospace and Power Generation sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining and setting large castings to engineering drawings and specified tolerances.
* Carrying out dimensional inspection of machined components.
* Ensuring production targets and timeframes are achieved.
* Marking up of swarf drums for alloy identification.
* Working both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
* Maintaining safe working practices in line with company health & safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
* Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* A flexible approach to work, including willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Sound understanding of Health & Safety and quality procedures.
