Job Title: Engineering Materials Planner (Mechanical)
Location: Capenhurst near Chester
Rate: GBP35 Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Urenco Chemical Processing Operations Materials Technical Specifier is to support the Plant's reliability program through the provision of Critical spares. This will be delivered by providing a professional and thorough analysis of the critical equipment list and developing detailed technical specifications for spare parts to be procured by the Materials Department. The Chemical processing Operations Materials Technical Specifier works as part of the Plant Reliability team to ensure the seamless provision of critical spare parts onto stock.
Responsibilities:
1. Specify the correct technical specification of spare parts for Production Critical equipment
2. Define Bills of Materials for critical equipment
3. Comply with all Urenco procurement protocols
4. Work within the procurement tracking system supported by the Materials team
5. Update/produce accurate technical specifications of all mechanical "Critical Equipment" for procurement
6. Contact 3rd party suppliers to obtain quotations or escalate technical queries
7. Generate material request forms for implementation into CMMS (SAP)
8. Accountable for certain KPI's within the procurement workflow
Accountability:
1. Update existing and generate new Electrical and Instrumentation equipment technical specifications for procurement
2. Conduct site walk downs to ensure alignment of "As installed" equipment with documentation
3. Make initial contact with vendors to identify availability of spares
4. Determine the correct Quality Grading Level
5. Generate Material Master documentation to UCP agreed standards
6. Update Technical Basis of Maintenance documentation
7. Ensure materials on high hazard critical duties comply with correct standards and legislation
Requirements:
* Ability to work off-site at supplier premises
* Proficient in the use SAP WM system
* Experience in material specification and standards
* Proficient in the use of site computer systems and applications
Contract Position Requirements:
* Security Clearance
* Medical, drug and alcohol tests
