As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Donnington Grove, you'll play a vital role in supporting our veterinary surgeons both in the hospital and occasionally on the road assisting with diagnostic imaging. Our rolling rota includes a mix of inpatient care and theatre/surgical shifts, ensuring variety in your work.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering high-quality inpatient care, including administering medications, conducting clinical checks, wound management, and assisting in theatre.
2. Managing patient admissions and discharges.
3. Supporting diagnostic imaging procedures, both onsite and on the road.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a large, well-equipped practice in Newbury, Berkshire, welcoming both first opinion and referral cases across surgery, MRI, CT, scintigraphy, and medical investigations. Our facility boasts a robust in-house laboratory, a range of mobile equipment, and support for ambulatory procedures. We're open 7 days a week, year-round, ensuring both routine and emergency care for our patients.

Who we're looking for...
We're seeking a nurse with a genuine passion for equine care, ideally with some relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high clinical standards and delivering exceptional client care, thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team setting, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills to support both clients and colleagues.
Working hours
This is a full-time role, averaging 39 hours per week with rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
