About the role
Manpower Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a global technology leader. You'll play a hands-on part building and testing advanced systems used in some of the world's toughest environments. If you enjoy turning schematics into robust, test-passed assemblies - and you take pride in neat wiring, clean documentation and first-time-right quality - this is for you.
What you'll be doing
Assemble electronic/electrical sub-assemblies and complete builds from schematics, drawings and work orders in an ISO9001 environment.
Wire and solder harnesses and cable assemblies; build control panels/cabinets; work on PCBs (SMT/through-hole), transformer assemblies, consoles and connectors.
Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly and control system outfitting.
Diagnose, fault-find and repair to PCB component level; run troubleshooting and functional tests.
Operate computer-controlled equipment as required.
Hit build times/efficiency targets for project integration and tooling/spares work orders.
What you'll bring (essential)
Proven panel wiring/looming (LV AC/DC) and confidence working from electrical schematics.
Soldering skills (through-hole and ideally SMT) with PCB rework and component-level fault-finding.
Exposure to control/data systems and awareness of high-voltage installations.
Strong focus on quality, schedule and safety with accurate documentation in ISO9001 processes.
Clear communicator, organised team player; calm under pressure and detail-driven.
Nice to have (desirable)
ONC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
18th Edition (IET/BS 7671).
Fibre-optic handling/termination experience.
Background in shop-floor build/test, production processes and equipment.
Safety & compliance (QHSE)
Act in line with site QHSE requirements and personal accountability.
Proactively report unsafe or environmentally unsound acts/conditions so risks can be managed.
Why apply?
Build technology with real-world impact in a world-class engineering environment.
Varied, hands-on work across cutting-edge systems - every day is different.
Supportive team culture with opportunities to learn (including fibre-optic skills).
Day shift with an early Friday finish.
How to apply
Apply via the job board with your CV and a brief note on your panel wiring and PCB fault-finding experience. Shortlisting is on a rolling basis.
