We are looking for Manufacturing Support Engineers (MSE's) to support all manufacturing systems, used in the delivery and production of lenses, run at optimum performance levels. Assist with manufacturing equipment installations and qualification This is a great role where you will provide an effective reactive and preventable maintenance process support function covering both high speed manufacturing equipment and facilities plant (out of hours); thereby maximising equipment availbility, performance and product quality whilst ensuring cost and safety outcomes. To follow all CooperVision Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality practices Provide process failure and breakdown support by diagnosing root cause and repair/recovering equipment performance Work hand in hand with production and other support staff, to achieve consistent line performance in line with Business Unit targets Utilising available analytical tools to generate and assess key performance indicators and complete trend analysis Monitor and log equipment defect lists for equipment and create plan to fix Identify preventative measures and improvements to reduce process failures and breakdowns Carry out effective preventative maintenance Identify and implement process improvements in order to maximise equipment availbility and performance Execute routine safety checks and timely calibration of machines and equipment Assist in the control and management of spares Provide training to other member Support Teams as and when required Establish and maintain procedures, common ways of working and best practices Creation of new and review/update existing procedures Participation within cross functional continuous improvement and new equipment project teams What skills and experience should you have? We would like you to have the following experience: Minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship process support experience, working within a high volume manufacturing environment Time served Apprenticeship in Mechanical; Electrical/Electronic engineering is an essential requirement for the role. Quality Orientated; understanding/recognition and compliance to Safe Working Practice and regulatory requirements. Comprehensive understanding and sound knowledge of PLC controlled manufacturing platforms. Proven experience in all aspects of engineering principles and techniques. Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects/activities ONC/HNC or similar in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferable Work Environment: This role involves working in both an engineering workshop and a clean room environment across all UKM sites. Lifting and movement of production/process equipment and materials will be required. Potential exposure to hazardous Chemicals may be required necessitating appropriate PPE to be worn.
