Manpower is currently seeking interim Graduate Process Engineers to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. Join their fast-paced FMCG environment as an integral part of their team.
The position is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role until 31 March 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, up to £42,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
Job Purpose
The Run to Standard Cell Process Engineer owns performance data analytics, line settings, changeover processes, and problem-solving for their lines. They provide the right stops and performance data for line workflows and problem-solving sessions. They aim to eliminate process variability through line settings and changeover processes, and build problem-solving capabilities in operators.
Responsibilities
* Own stops and performance data analytics for the line, including MTBS, OEE data, and supporting analytics for workflows and problem-solving.
* Manage the line heat map for loss stratification and top loss identification.
* Develop and improve performance analytics tools.
* Oversee line settings and changeover processes, including deployment, execution, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.
* Lead SMED workshops to enhance changeover efficiency.
* Support problem-solving processes and provide subject matter expertise to the team.
People Responsibilities
* Build problem-solving capabilities in operators.
* Coach operators on processes.
Loss Elimination Responsibilities
* Support development and execution of 90-day, weekly, and monthly plans.
* Lead and support problem-solving sessions.

* Ability to visualize an ideal production system and establish operating standards.
* Effective communicator with the ability to present findings clearly.
* Data-driven decision-making skills.
* Prioritization skills between daily and long-term losses.
* Postgraduate engineers, Level 4 apprentices, experienced shift engineers, or technicians with improvement focus are encouraged to apply.

* Degree or higher in manufacturing operations or engineering.
* Strong numeracy and IT skills, especially Excel.
