Job Title : Senior Project Manager – New Build Education Project

Location: Forres, Moray

Company: Balfour Beatty Regional Scotland

Project: Forres Academy

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of Forres Academy, a major new‑build secondary school in the North of Scotland.

This is a high‑profile education project where you’ll take full ownership of delivery — from early planning through to handover — leading a multi‑disciplinary team and working closely with key stakeholders to deliver real value for the local community.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities

* Leading the safe, successful delivery of a large new‑build education scheme
* Owning programme, cost, quality, risk and stakeholder management
* Managing and inspiring Project Managers, Engineers and subcontract partners
* Driving strong commercial performance and governance
* Representing Balfour Beatty with the client and wider stakeholders

Who we're looking for

* Proven experience delivering complex construction projects
* Strong leadership and commercial awareness
* Confident communicator with experience managing clients and large teams
* Background in education, healthcare or public‑sector projects (ideal, not essential)

Why Balfour Beatty

* Work on career‑defining projects that shape communities
* Long‑term pipeline across Scotland
* Flexible working, job share and part‑time options supported
* Clear progression into Project Director and wider leadership roles

This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship new‑build school project in the North of Scotland.
