A quick look at the role.
The Maintenance Scheduler serves as the primary point of responsibility for managing the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) at the Redcar site. Acting as the central coordinator for work order planning and control, the role supports both the Maintenance Manager and the wider Maintenance Team in monitoring and improving equipment reliability. Additionally, the Scheduler will provide administrative support to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, ensuring effective planning and documentation across all maintenance activities.
Your core responsibilities.
* Coordinate weekly maintenance schedules, working closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure plans are executed efficiently.
* Track and report on KPIs, costs, and plant performance, providing insights that drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.
* Maintain and optimise the CMMS, ensuring accurate records of equipment, stock, work orders, and preventive maintenance routines.
* Manage documentation and maintenance manuals for all assets and new equipment, acting as the site’s asset number holder and maintenance library owner.
* Support compliance and safety, ensuring statutory maintenance obligations are met and safety documentation is current and auditable.
* Assist with spares management, procurement, and training, working with the MRO Manager and Engineering Manager to support stock control, supplier coordination, and engineering team development.
Our essential requirements.
* Formal engineering qualifications to Level 3 as a minimum; an Engineering Degree is desirable.
* Significant experience working with and administering CMMS systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools such as Microsoft Project (or similar).
* Familiarity with Shire Pirana or equivalent maintenance management systems.
