Position Summary
The Lead Technician is responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, and leading a team to improve customer satisfaction. Pay range: $21.06 - $38.59. We reward efficiency through a flat-rate pay system.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning, and computer systems.
* Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers.
* Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training.
* Assist and mentor technicians.
* Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications within two years, with company-paid testing fees and bonuses for passing exams.
Minimum Qualifications
* Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
* Skilled in brakes, alignment, suspension, general maintenance, and tire repair.
* Relevant federal, state, and local certifications/licenses.
* Ability to communicate technical info clearly.
* Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of electrical systems, engine repair, transmission, heating/AC.
* At least 5 years of automotive repair experience or vocational training.
* A.S.E. certifications in multiple areas, especially brakes, steering, suspension.
