As a MOVO Operations Engineer, you’ll be joining a forward-thinking company at the forefront of warehouse automation technology. This isn’t just a maintenance position. You’ll be solving complex engineering problems, influencing performance metrics, and playing a direct role in ensuring service excellence for high-profile clients. As a core member of our site-based engineering team, you will:
Ensure the fully automated racking infrastructure is operating at peak performance through scheduled and condition-based maintenance.
Quickly identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and PLC systems to minimise downtime and maximise throughput.
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM): Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance in accordance with OEM guidelines and industry best practices to prevent future failures.
Ensure compliance and uphold safety standards: Operate within strict health and safety frameworks while supporting the site’s adherence to statutory, legal, and internal quality standards.
Liaise with site teams, contractors, and technology suppliers to ensure engineering excellence and timely completion of tasks.
Support departmental administration: Complete engineering documentation, update maintenance logs, manage stock control for spare parts, and support compliance reporting.
Minimum HND in Engineering or equivalent, ideally with a 70/30 electrical-to-mechanical bias
Demonstrated experience in automated systems, with working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens or similar platforms preferred)
Hands-On Experience: Comfortable working with industrial machinery and at varying heights; physically capable of responding to urgent operational demands
Adaptability & Drive: Flexible with shift work, highly self-motivated, and eager to continuously improve skills through training and on-the-job learning
