The Role A Lead Design Engineer is sought for a water infrastructure framework in the Bristol area. You will manage the technical delivery of civil engineering designs on projects spanning water and wastewater networks, treatment works, pumping stations, storm overflow upgrades, and flooding resilience schemes, guiding multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, process.) Responsibilities Lead outline and detailed design for water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects. Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, programme, and quality requirements. Actively engage with site and commercial teams as required. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment. Conduct site visits across the Bristol/Wessex region to validate design and support construction. Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering (ICE‑accredited). Chartership with ICE or demonstrated progress towards it. Strong background in water/wastewater non-infrastructure design experience. Familiarity with CDM 2015 Designer/Principal Designer duties. Excellent technical, organisational and interpersonal skills. Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
