Power Electronics Engineer East Sussex (Hybrid - 2 days from home) Up to £65,000 Benefits KO2s client, a world leader in their specialist field, is seeking a talented Power Electronics Engineer to join their established and highly respected engineering team in East Sussex. The Role As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced power conversion and control systems. Working across the full product lifecycle, youll contribute to new product development as well as ongoing improvements to existing platforms. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver robust, efficient, and high-reliability solutions. Hybrid working is available, with two days per week working from home. Key Responsibilities Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems (AC-DC, DC-DC, inverters, converters) Perform simulation, modelling, and analysis of power stages Component selection including magnetics, semiconductors, and control devices Support PCB layout, thermal management, and EMC compliance Develop and validate control strategies for power conversion systems Conduct testing, validation, and fault-finding at system level Support transition from design through to manufacturing About You Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, or related discipline Strong experience in power electronics design and development Knowledge of SMPS, converters, inverters, and high-efficiency power systems Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink or similar) Understanding of thermal design, magnetics, and EMC considerations Hands-on lab testing and debugging experience Whats on Offer Salary up to £65,000 Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to work for a recognised global leader Long-term career progression and technical development This role would suit a motivated Power Electronics Engineer looking to work on technically challenging products within a market-leading organisation.
