The Role

1. To act as a member of the care team under the supervision of registered NMAHP Practitioner.
2. To assist patients to achieve their care and rehabilitation goals.
3. Provide support and evidence based care by assisting the planning, implementing, delivery and evaluation of care
4. Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified area of care delivery.
5. Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, person centred safe and effective care

What we'll need you to bring

6. Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
7. Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
8. Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
9. Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.
10. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Time management, planning and organisational skills.
12. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
13. Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
14. Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
15. Full driving license holder

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

16. Additional qualifications in education, training, or facilitation
17. Quality improvement or audit training
18. Extensive experience working within AHP services, including advanced clinical tasks
19. Experience supporting and coaching new staff and colleagues
20. Experience designing and delivering training sessions and materials
21. Experience conducting staff assessments and providing feedback
22. Experience supporting work experience
23. Experience with feedback systems or data collection for service improvement
24. Experience working across professions (e.g. AHP/ Nursing collaboration)
25. Understanding of HCSW roles and development needs within AHP
26. Knowledge of NHS Scotland
27. HCSW Toolkit and Induction Standards
28. Ability to design and deliver bespoke and generic training sessions
29. Strong verbal and written communication skills
30. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
31. IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and presentation tools
32. Familiarity with systems used in NHS Lanarkshire (e.g. MS office)
33. Awareness of feedback and evaluation methods for educational programmes
34. Understanding of work experience processes and pupil engagement in Lanarkshire
35. Person-centred approach to care and education
36. Calm, sensitive, and patient demeanour
37. Ability to manage competing demands and work under pressure
38. Commitment to promoting positive change and innovation
39. High level of discretion and professionalism
40. Confidence in presenting to varied audiences
41. Ability to motivate and engage learners of mixed ability levels
42. Interest in sustainability and legacy planning for development initiatives

Contract type

43. Fixed Term or Secondment for 9 months
44. Part Time
45. 22.2 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 9 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in NMAHP Practice Development within Beckford St.

The working pattern for this role is 09.00 - 17.00
