Role Overview
We're seeking a proactive and technically skilled Multi-Skilled Electrician to join a dynamic engineering team. This role involves maintaining and improving electrical systems across a busy production site, supporting both reactive and planned maintenance, and contributing to small-scale projects from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and install electrical systems across the site, ensuring optimal performance of plant equipment.
Support small engineering projects, including design, installation, and commissioning.
Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Enhance existing systems by updating technical documentation, spares, and drawings.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation and internal policies.
Carry out additional duties as required within your skill set.Person Specification
Technical Skills & Experience
Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
Experience with HV/MV/LV distribution systems, switchgear, and transformers (desirable).
Familiarity with power distribution, emergency generators, and UPS systems.
Understanding of instrumentation and process controllers.
Practical experience with PLCs, motor control, and variable speed drives.
Previous experience in a 24/7 production environment.
Willingness to participate in call-out rota as needed.Qualifications
BTEC ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
18th Edition BS7671 qualification (desirable).
HV Awareness qualification (desirable).
Siemens S5/S7 experience (desirable).Behaviours & Attributes
