We are recruiting for an NDT Technician whom is qualified to Level 2 in Xray or Level 1 or 2 in Dye Penetrant to join a world-renowned client on a full-time permanent basis.
Working as an NDT Inspector and reporting into the Quality Assurance Director your day to day duties will include;
1. Routine control checks to validate the inspection process and verify equipment calibrations.
2. Keeping computerised inspection records and archiving paper records
3. Evaluate the results and make accept / rejection decisions based on customer acceptance criteria
4. Interpret specification and assist in production of NDT techniques for level III approval
5. Assist in audits and ensure continued compliance with the companies NDT accreditations e.g., NADCAP and UKAS
6. Non-destructive examination of castings by Radiography using x-rays to reveal internal discontinuities
7. Operating computerised radiography system utilising Phosphor Imagining Plates
8. Load and unload film cassettes and process films, check radiographs against samples to ensure correct setup
9. Carry out control checks, processor monitoring and verify equipment calibrations
10. Restock darkroom cupboards and replenish processing solutions
11. View and interpret radiographs produced in both in-house and externally by subcontractor and evaluate results in respect to customer acceptance.
