This role sits at the centre of both commercial performance and food innovation — balancing financial performance with customer experience, product development, and future growth opportunities.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day commercial operation of the business while ensuring products remain exciting, relevant, and aligned with evolving customer demand. From identifying emerging food trends and developing new menu ideas to managing P&L performance and driving profitability, this role offers a unique blend of creativity and commercial leadership.
Responsibilities
* Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring high standards of delivery and customer experience
* Review P&L performance, manage cost of goods, and monitor return on investment
* Develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive revenue and customer engagement
* Identify new food trends, customer behaviours, and market opportunities to keep the product offering fresh and relevant
* Source and develop new products, menu items, and add-on ranges that excite customers
* Lead menu planning and product development from concept through to launch
* Stay ahead of food trends through market research, competitor analysis, and horizon scanning
* Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution
* Present regular updates and commercial insights to senior stakeholders
Who They’re Looking For
* Proven commercial experience within the food industry, ideally in a fast-paced environment
* A genuine passion for food — someone who naturally keeps up with food trends, new concepts, restaurants, products, and consumer habits
* Strong understanding of changing customer behaviours and how food trends influence buying decisions
* Commercially astute with strong P&L management experience
* Strong product development awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities
* Highly organised with excellent project management skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
* A naturally curious mindset with the ability to spot opportunities before they become mainstream
* Someone who gets excited about food innovation and bringing new ideas to life
