Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the continued growth and development of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a background in freight forwarding who thrives on winning new business, managing key accounts, and taking full ownership of branch performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive and lead all sales activity for the London branch
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK and international markets
* Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, airlines, and suppliers
* Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and convert opportunities into revenue
* Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently achieve agreed targets
* Collaborate closely with operations to ensure solutions are efficient and deliverable
* Represent the business professionally within the local market
This is a hands-on, sales-focused leadership role, requiring direct involvement in client meetings, negotiations, and business development activity.
About You
* Proven experience within freight forwarding or logistics (airfreight experience preferred)
* Strong track record in sales, business development, or account management
* Results-driven with a proven ability to grow revenue and retain clients
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Experience handling dangerous goods or regulated freight is advantageous
Previous branch management experience is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applications from senior sales professionals ready to step into a leadership role.
