Talent Acquisition Executive - UK/Europe at Zensar Technologies
The Product Owner (PO) is the Agile team member primarily responsible for maximising the value delivered by the team by ensuring that the team backlog in the Electricity Power Calculation space and is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs.
As a member of the extended Product Management function, the PO will be the Power system engineers main advocate and primary link to business and technology strategy. This enables the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while continuously evolving the Solution.
Responsibilities
* Know the customer – Value is determined by the customer; the PO is aware of the needs of the people to whom their products are delivered. Customers may be internal or external to the enterprise and may have direct or indirect relationships with the PO. Whether they consume products, services, systems, APIs, platforms, or other solutions, customers’ wants, needs, and preferences are continually explored by the PO.
* Manage the stakeholders – The PO identifies key stakeholders and balances their needs with those of the customer, working with cross-functional team members along with internal and external team members.
* Identify the problem to be solved – Good products solve specific problems that are worth solving. The PO discovers customer needs through divergent thinking tools and identifies ‘jobs to be done’ that are most worth pursuing.
* Develop whole-product solutions – Deliver solutions that address a range of customer needs, guiding the development of candidate designs and delivering concepts that maximise customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Guide Own/Story creation – The PO ensures stories are well-formed and aligned with product strategy, clarifies details, applies user-story language, ensures INVEST characteristics, assists with story splitting, defines enablers, and incorporates behavior-driven development (BDD).
* Prioritise backlog items – Regularly order backlog items by value and cost of delay, and communicate the sequence during backlog refinement and iteration planning.
* Accept Stories – Work with the team to agree on acceptance criteria and DoD, ensuring quality is built in.
* Support Architectural Runway – Make space in the backlog to support architectural runway, collaborating with System Architects to craft enablers and capacity allocations.
* Balance stakeholder perspectives – Balance inputs from customers, stakeholders, teams, and tools to optimize outcomes while respecting capacity and the cost of delay.
* Elaborate Stories – Facilitate ongoing conversation to resolve questions, manage dependencies, and refine story priorities to improve velocity.
* Foster Built-In Quality – Evaluate progress toward acceptance criteria and nonfunctional requirements, and work with the team to address quality issues in real time.
* Participate in team and ART events – Attend and contribute to team events, PO Sync, System Demos, and PI planning to ensure value delivery and dependencies are managed.
* Test benefit hypotheses – Define benefit hypotheses with Product Management and validate them through customer and stakeholder feedback.
* Obtain feedback from customers and stakeholders – Gather feedback via interviews, Gemba walks, reviews, system demos, and telemetry to inform decisions.
* Share feedback with the ART – Communicate findings with Product Management, System Architects, teams, and the ART during planning and reviews.
* Evolve solution design – Use customer feedback to refine the product vision, roadmap, strategy, and design for ongoing value.
Key Skills
* Sound Product Owner experience working within Digital.
* Must have Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission industry
* Experience in leading product development teams & Stakeholder Management
* SAFe Trained/Certified
* Experience in digital techniques including a broad understanding of digital CX.
* Excellent delivery focus – deliver a quality product to market on time and to budget.
* Ability to anticipate business and strategic evolution.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise features to ensure timely delivery
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Quick learner, takes ownership
* Nice to have - experience with applications that support electricity calculations
