Position Overview:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will respond to customers' field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information about the problem to create a quote, ensuring a cost- and time-effective solution. Working within Finning's industry-leading field service department, and for the largest CAT dealer in the UK and Ireland, you will be at the forefront of on-site diagnostic and repair capabilities for Caterpillar products.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide an estimated arrival time based on customer location, machine details, and current work situation.
2. Register your arrival and presence on-site with customer management, adhering to site procedures.
3. Diagnose equipment problems in discussion with operators/supervisors using specialized equipment and provide information for necessary work.
4. Provide detailed quotes, including required parts and delivery times, to schedule service visits.
5. Perform repair and service work, including component removal, despatch for specialist attention, and re-installation to meet standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience with field diagnosis tools and equipment.
* Knowledge of Heavy Earth Moving equipment.
* LDV driving license.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent training, with experience as a service engineer or equivalent development opportunity.
* Experience with construction and static machines.
