This is a key role within the (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) business unit, delivering key shifts for our customer NWR/SCO by demonstrating safe driving and control of a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) across the network.
What you'll be doing
As a MPV Driver you will:
1. Have in depth route knowledge of the Wessex area of the country.
2. Work as part of the MPV Seasonal Team to provide a safe and professional service to the customer;
3. Undertake any necessary working and transit shifts;
4. Consistently work to the plan;
5. Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels to drive and operate MPV's up to safety critical level;
6. Report any problems or safety issues to the Regional Operations Manager and the engineering team;
7. Comply with the provided Safe System of Work;
8. To comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental;
9. Be prepared to work unsociable hours (nights, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year) and lodge when workload requires;
10. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to workload demand as required by customers workload.
