CEDARS Short Stay School, High Street, Knutton, ST5 6BX Clerical Assistant - Attendance Hours: 33 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term -Time only Salary: Grade 3 SCP4 Actual Salary: £24,404 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £18,902) Start date: 1 st September 2025 We are seeking a full time highly competent Clerical Assistant to provide organisational, administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school. This involves a range of responsibilities including monitoring attendance, chasing pupil absences, producing attendance letters and reports and other administrative tasks including reception duties, liaising with parents and outside agencies, maintaining school / pupil records, and financial / purchasing responsibilities. We have two sites. Our pupils, parents and staff need an approachable and friendly person who enjoys working in a busy environment. This person will need to be well organised, flexible and feel confident working in a setting that caters for children who have a wide range of Social, Emotional, Mental Health and behavioural difficulties. The successful candidate will need to: have a professional, confidential and friendly manner be highly motivated with a can-do attitude be happy to work as part of a team be extremely organised and able to prioritise a changing workload have experience of working in a busy client facing office environment, handling a large variety of activities be confident in operating a variety of ICT packages including MS Word and Excel packages be willing to undertake any training required experience of working in a school would be beneficial a familiarity with SIMS would be beneficial We can offer a rewarding role, working with a team of friendly staff, who are committed to making a difference.
