The Role and Candidate
As part of our growing European operations, we’re seeking a Facilities Manager to serve as the main contact for our retail locations, ensuring that all sites operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance.
You’ll oversee maintenance and compliance activities, coordinate with external partners, and play a key role in creating an outstanding in-store environment that supports both our teams and clients every day.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for retail stores on all facility-related matters, including maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Oversee and manage maintenance and repair activities across multiple sites, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
• Plan and supervise preventive maintenance programs covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, cleaning, and more.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to manage purchase orders, invoices, budgets, and contribute to monthly reporting and forecasting.
• Implement and maintain an efficient repair and maintenance tracking system, ensuring proper use and providing training where necessary.
• Regularly liaise with Store and Retail Managers to ensure all facility issues are resolved promptly.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of maintenance work, vendor agreements, warranties, and compliance documents.
• Assist with facilities-related projects such as refurbishments, remodeling, and equipment updates.
• Ensure all stores comply with fire safety, HVAC, lift regulations, and other legal safety standards.
• Support Construction, Retail, and Operations teams during store visits and assist with Health & Safety initiatives as needed.
Key Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in facilities management or retail operations, ideally across multiple sites.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across stores, headquarters, and external vendors.
• Sound technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with facilities management systems.
• Adaptable and able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic retail setting.
• Thorough understanding of Health & Safety and environmental standards.
• Membership in the IWFM is desirable but not required.
